Character Expectations

Neon Desert is a story-driven roleplay environment. By applying as a citizen, you agree to the following character standards:

• Remain in character while in public roleplay spaces. OOC conversation belongs in designated OOC areas only.

• Play a realistic, human character with believable strengths, flaws, and limitations.

• Do not use out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character actions.

• You may not control another character’s actions, reactions, or outcomes.

• Characters must value their lives and respond realistically to danger, injury, and consequence.

• Conflict, violence, and escalation must be story-driven — not reactionary or mechanical.

• Sensitive or heavy storylines require mutual OOC consent before progressing.

• If your character dies, a full reroll is required and the character retains no memory of the death.

Neon Desert is an urban, gritty environment where actions matter, choices have consequences, and no character is immune to the city.
